I still have Rosie's book as well as mine, and I haven't made a mark in either one. I have been dealing with so much lately that our exchange has been put on the back burner. I am fully recovered from the surgery now and the chemotherapy is underway. The first week or so after a treatment is tough but after that I have felt almost normal. My hair has begun to fall out ... but I am hanging in there and so far doing pretty well.
I promise I will begin working on the sketch books this week.
Katie, I'm so sorry to hear of your health problems and I echo everything Masha has said so perfectly. Ofcourse no apology is required. If you feel like drawing that would be great but no matter if you don't
ReplyDeleteWe are all sending you love, support and artists' strength. It sounds like you're doing well and look forward to your recovery.
Much love, Rosie x
Katie--
ReplyDeleteYes, yes to all that Masha & Rosie have said. Take whatever time you need. We want you well and strong more than anything else. If drawing helps with your recovery, great. If not, we are patient and will treasure what you add in time more than ever.
I received my book from Masha just before I left for Portugal in early July. I’ve given it zero thought or effort & don’t think I will until well into September. My new baby granddaughter is coming to visit (with her parents) in a week! And then later in the month into September, I am off to California to get my daughter settled in her new situation for graduate school. This is all to say my sketchbook will not be ready for your creative input anytime soon.
I think of you a lot. On a psychic level, I send you strength to counteract the treatments. I am sad that you have to endure this illness. I send you my love and belief that this suffering will burnish your life force into an even stronger glow. XXOOX Marcia
Thank you all so much. I feel the love, and it is much appreciated.
