Rosie's page in Marcia's book is ready to go!

This is my Unintended Collection. They are ephemeral items found at various times on holiday, mostly in Greece.
The oyster shell encrusted with limpets may be from UK, I'm not sure.
The little figure (shown actual size) I found in in rocks on a beach on Syros. I showed it to the Museum but they didn't want it. I still don't know much about it and would be curious to know what it is made from!
The tiny shells and glass marble are from Naxos (a favourite island).
The paper boat was on a pavement in Athens and I like the idea of sending it on its journey again!

  2. Thank you Masha. I had trouble thinking what to do in the end, and couldn't make the composition come right. I like the oyster shell though :)

  3. I like the whole thing, Rosie. Your composition has captured nicely disparate objects, caught in momentary juxtaposition, flowing along on their continued, solo journeys.

  4. I like this so much. So far each collection is more than the objects we have drawn. Marcia's is a portrait of her husband. I have done a portrait of my mother (again). You have done a self portrait, telling a story of your travels and the tiny treasures of the seas. I am so glad you have added more color to the whole composition of Marcia 's book. What a treasure it has become!

  6. I hope to be going to the Post Office tomorrow with your book Marcia, so it will be on its way soon! Such a relief that Katie's arrived safely with you Masha. I'll use the larger envelope again though as it is a better fit.
