My page in Katie's book.

Beautiful spring sunshine encouraged me to take Katies book out to a local wildlife conservation area to draw. Following Katie's theme of 'Winter Remembering Spring', I decided on a thread of time and change.
I chose to do studies of an old Crack Willow Tree that has split open showing a colourful record of interior change. The tree splits wider with each season.

  1. This is the entrance to the Wildlife area where I went to draw trees for the theme.

  2. “...a thread of time and change.” I like that. Lovely & inviting vernal woods. I’m jealous of how green it is in your world.

  3. Amazing photo and wonderful choice of a place! I'm so very happy you can draw there, with shining sun and blooms all over :)

  4. Oh my! It won't be green here until probably late April. We had a temporary thaw but then we got about 10" more snow. It is hard to tell when spring will arrive here anymore. It isn't as predictable as it used to be.

What a lovely photo Rosie. I love the daffodils and the ivy covered trees.
